- Position Summary
The Deputy General Manager (Accounts & Finance) will assist the General Manager in overseeing all financial and accounting functions of PIAHCL and its subsidiaries. The role focuses on financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, treasury support, and internal controls to ensure transparency, efficiency, and alignment with international financial reporting and corporate governance standards. The DGM will also act as the second-in-command for the Finance & Accounts function and provide leadership in the absence of the GM.
- Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Assist in preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and Companies Act, 2017.
- Support management reporting, variance analysis, and presentation of financial performance to senior management and the Board.
- Monitor and implement ERP-based accounting and reporting processes.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Coordinate the annual budget process and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
- Prepare financial forecasts, cash flow projections, and sensitivity analyses to support strategic planning.
- Monitor actual vs. budget performance, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, SECP regulations, SOE Act 2023, and tax laws.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and assist in timely closure of audits.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of regulatory returns.
Treasury & Financial Control
- Assist in managing banking operations, cash flow, and working capital.
- Support debt management, investment planning, and treasury operations.
- Oversee implementation of internal financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure policy compliance.
Risk Management & Internal Controls
- Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Monitor adherence to internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Recommend improvements in systems, processes, and controls.
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise and mentor finance team members to enhance skills, efficiency, and compliance.
- Build a culture of accountability, transparency, and ethical conduct in the finance function.
- Act as acting General Manager (Finance & Accounts) when required.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or Master's degree in Finance/Accounting from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience, including 05 years in a managerial role in finance/accounts within a large corporate, listed entity, public sector entity, or regulated industry.
Maximum Age:
45 years
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, corporate governance, and financial regulations.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and treasury.
- Analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- High standards of professional ethics and integrity.
